On an Air China flight from Hangzhou to Seoul, a lithium battery caught fire in a piece of carry-on luggage stored in an overhead compartment. Orange flames shot up above the passengers, and smoke filled the cabin. A flight attendant quickly intervened to bring the fire under control. The plane was diverted to Shanghai for an emergency landing. No one was injured.
