Arrest of a protester who threw her drink at a policeman

At an ICE protest in North Carolina, 18-year-old Emily Cervantes Ramos threw a soft drink at a Kannapolis police officer. The officer reacted immediately and chased her down, tackled her to the ground and then handcuffed her. Authorities later announced that she had been charged with assault on a public officer, as well as two counts related to opposing the duties of a police officer. She was released after her arrest.
