In New York, near 142nd Street, a teenage girl suddenly jumped into the Harlem River, probably in a moment of distress. The water was icy cold and she quickly panicked. Three police officers from the 32nd Precinct arrived, and Officer Wilmer Guerrero immediately dived in to join her. He managed to keep her on the surface while his colleagues Ankit Gupta and Shuaibul Amine pulled from the bank. In less than a minute, she was out of the water, shivering but alive. She was taken to hospital and is recovering.
