Ocean destroys 5 houses in front of their helpless owners

In Buxton, on Hatteras Island in North Carolina, the sea swallowed five houses in less than an hour. Hurricanes Imelda and Humberto, which remained offshore, generated huge swells that ripped the sand from under the pilings. As a result, the wooden villas fell one by one into the ocean.
