Young man attacks patients with improvised flamethrower

In a surreal scene captured on video, a 17-year-old teenager was filmed using an improvised "flamethrower" to threaten patients at the Royal Liverpool Hospital. Armed with an aerosol can and a lighter, he directed flames at two men in the emergency waiting room. The incident, which took place on Monday January 22, quickly required the intervention of Merseyside Police after security staff subdued the youngster.
