A man pulls a gun in front of a dozen police officers

In Austin, Texas, one man died and several people were injured following a shooting in the city center. Police reported that the incident occurred after an armed individual attempted to enter a bar on East 6th Street. A bar employee reported the gunman to police. When the officers approached, the man pointed his gun at them and at civilians. The police then fired several shots at the suspect, killing him on the spot. Three other people were injured, one of them seriously. The three officers involved are on administrative leave during the investigation.
