In a bar in Miraflores, Peru, a British man named Benito Graffagnino opened fire on Jesús Carozzi Martinez, another pool player, following an argument about an alleged scam during their game. The verbal altercation escalated when Graffagnino, known to have previously been in prison, pulled out a gun and fired several shots at Martinez, who was wounded in the chest and arm. Witnesses to the scene fled in panic. The Peruvian authorities arrested the gunman and a preliminary investigation for attempted homicide was launched. Martinez was hospitalized, and details of the extent of his injuries remain unknown.
