Influencer TikTok arrested in Dubai for mocking wealthy Emiratis in satirical video

Hamdan Al Rind, an influential UAE-resident TikToker of Asian origin, was arrested in Dubai following a satirical video in which he mocked wealthy Emiratis. In his video, he enters a luxury car showroom, dressed as a traditional Emirati, and asks to buy the most expensive car while throwing money at several employees. Mr. Al Rind has been charged withmisuse of the Internet and dissemination of content that does not conform to media standards and is damaging to Emirati society. The owner of the showroom, Ahmed Mansour, was also summoned by the Public Prosecutor.
