San Francisco police are seeking the public's help in finding the person who assaulted an elderly man in an unprovoked attack on Natoma Street near New Montgomery Street on Jan. 8 at 7:39 a.m. Surveillance video shows the suspect striking the 78-year-old victim on the head with an unknown object, causing injuries that were not life-threatening. The suspect fled on foot and the victim was helped to his feet by an employee from a nearby building before being taken to the hospital by his family.
