A construction operation turned into a disaster in Altamira, Mexico: an excavator slipped off the dock and sank into the Champayán Lagoon while being loaded onto a barge. The operator managed to escape from the submerged cab and was rescued by fishermen and boatmen who were on the scene. According to local authorities, he escaped without serious injury.
