Major crash in MotoGP at Barcelona: Márquez hospitalized after a violent impact

At the Circuit de Barcelona, Álex Márquez crashed into the back of Pedro Acosta’s motorcycle after Acosta suddenly slowed down. The impact threw him violently from his Ducati. The result: a fractured right collarbone, which required emergency surgery, and a fractured C7 vertebra. The race was immediately halted. Márquez posted a photo from the hospital to reassure his fans.
