In San Francisco, a high-profile police operation put an end to a chaotic ride by 85 cyclists who were riding against traffic, popping wheelies, and bringing traffic to a standstill in the South of Market neighborhood. As they attempted to access the Bay Bridge via the Harrison Street ramp, vehicles from the SFPD and the California Highway Patrol blocked both ends. Footage captured by a helicopter shows the moment the cyclists realize they are trapped. All were released after being fined, but their bikes were impounded on the spot.
