Italy: Rioters attack police with hammers and explosives

In Turin, Italy, violent clashes broke out after the evacuation of a social center that had been occupied for more than 30 years. Hooded rioters attacked law enforcement officers with hammers and homemade explosives. One officer, surrounded on the ground, was struck with a hammer and rushed to hospital. In total, around 30 people were injured, mainly police officers. Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni condemned the "enemy of the state" behavior and promised a firm response.
