Russian tourist foils attack in Buenos Aires

In the Palermo district of Buenos Aires, a 33-year-old Russian tourist surprised two thieves on a motorcycle who had come to snatch her phone. Instead of backing off, she threw herself at one of the assailants, knocking him to the ground and preventing him from escaping. Bystanders quickly intervene and hold him down until the police arrive. The second thief, who had left at the start, was later spotted by the cameras. The authorities recover ten stolen phones and seize the motorcycle used in the attacks.
