A gang smashes up a luxury boutique with a stolen SUV (arrested)

A gang of burglars was arrested in Los Angeles after a series of robberies targeting luxury boutiques between February and July 2025. The group, dubbed "The Shade Snatchers", used stolen SUVs to smash through storefronts, entering with bins and emptying windows in seconds. They mainly took sunglasses, bags and accessories. The estimated total was $3 million worth of merchandise and $500,000 worth of damage. The LAPD arrested six suspects and a dozen others are being sought.
