During a live broadcast in Los Angeles, a chase turned deadly. CBS journalists were following a man at the wheel of a stolen pickup truck from a helicopter. In the middle of the chase, he jumped out of the driver's side window while the vehicle was still travelling on the 110 freeway. He tried to cross the fast lane, but was hit by a car. The presenters were truly in shock on air.
