Suspect attacks police officer with knife during domestic dispute visit

A doorbell camera captured the moment a man attacked a police officer with a knife in Cathedral City, California. Officer Marcus Ayala was responding to a call about a domestic dispute when the assault took place as soon as he arrived at the door. Despite a minor injury, he subdued the suspect, who was arrested on the spot. The man, 29-year-old Juan Francisco Sosa Jr. is charged with attempted murder and robbery, and has pleaded not guilty. He is due back in court on September 3.
