Armed jeweler scares off bank robbers in California

In Milpitas, California, a gang of 10 to 15 people attempted a smash-and-grab at a jewelry store around 1:30pm. Armed with a hammer and crowbar, they began smashing the window. The owner, in possession of a legal weapon, drew his pistol and fired several shots, causing the group to flee immediately. No one was hurt, and the jewelry remained in place. Police are analyzing the cameras, but the suspects are still at large.
