A raid by federal immigration police on two California cannabis farms degenerated into clashes. The operation, carried out in Camarillo and Carpinteria, was aimed at executing criminal warrants. In all, some 200 people were arrested, including 10 migrant minors, eight of whom were left to fend for themselves. Demonstrators clashed with the police, throwing stones and damaging vehicles, some reportedly even firing a shot. Police responded with tear gas and non-lethal bullets. Tensions lasted for several hours before the officers left.
