Fugitive throws dog at policeman before fleeing

Albuquerque police spot a man in front of a gas station, just below a no trespassing sign. The man is Bobby Chavez, wanted for several crimes. When an officer asks for his ID, Chavez holds a small dog in his arms... and throws it at the officer before fleeing. He jumps a fence, breaks into an apartment and prevents the resident from leaving. She managed to escape. The police arrested him shortly afterwards. The dog was not his: it was found safe and sound and will now be returned to its rightful owner.
