She pepper-sprays a Muslim Uber driver praying at a red light

Jennifer Guilbeault, 23, pepper-sprayed a 45-year-old Muslim Uber driver, Shohel Mahmud, in Manhattan. The man had stopped at a red light and began praying in Arabic. She was initially charged with a hate crime, which she denied. Eventually, she accepted a plea deal to second-degree aggravated harassment. She will have to do 100 hours of community service, attend programs on alcohol and prejudice, and not be arrested for a year.
