Coach fired after pulling player by the hair

Northville High School basketball coach Jim Zullo was fired after violently pulling a player by her ponytail just after his team lost the New York Class D state final. Zullo claims that the player, Hailey Monroe, hurled an insult at him before his gesture. Another student, #24, appears to have come to her teammate's defense. The school district confirmed the dismissal and announced a follow-up with the families concerned.
