A tree saves pedestrians from a crazed motorist

On Monday November 18 in Mi?dzyrzecz, Poland, a serious car accident took place. A 42-year-old driver at the wheel of a speeding Mazda lost control of his vehicle, climbing onto the sidewalk before colliding violently with a tree. Fortunately, the tree prevented a catastrophe, as pedestrians and a dog were nearby. The slightly injured driver refused an alcohol test. A blood sample was taken to check for alcohol consumption. If positive, he faces up to three years in prison and a heavy fine.
