Police officer dismissed after punching handcuffed man

A Fairfax sheriff's sergeant, Joshua Silver, has been fired after being filmed beating a handcuffed man, Nicholas Marcos, in a police vehicle. The incident, which occurred on September 11, shows Marcos, 32, who was arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer. In the video recording, Marcos, in chains, refuses to cooperate and utters insults. As they arrive at the detention center, Silver punches him three times in the face before being dragged from the vehicle.
