He falls out of a pickup truck en route while trying to retrieve his stolen phone

Santa Monica, California, June 18, 2024 - A man who has just had his phone stolen tries to get it back by getting into a pickup truck where the thief is. But the driver notices a man getting into his vehicle, and accelerates to prevent him from staying. It's not clear whether the driver noticed the first man, or whether it was his accomplice.
