32-year-old man caught on security camera violently beating and abusing his cockapoo

In Stockton-on-Tees, 32-year-old Thomas Hardy was filmed abusing two dogs. The videos show Hardy punching and strangling a cockapoo before throwing it into an elevator and vandalizing a security camera. The events, recorded on July 18 last year, led to an RSPCA investigation after police passed the footage on to them. Hardy, who pleaded guilty to two charges of abuse, received a 12-week suspended prison sentence on each count and is banned from owning animals for 12 years.
