In a dramatic incident at Lake Arbutus, Michigan, a 65-year-old man was rescued thanks to the coordinated intervention of his dog Ruby and a police officer. Having fallen through the ice, the man was spotted by passers-by who alerted the emergency services. Officer Kameron Bennetts arrived on the scene and used Ruby to transmit a rescue disc to the wrecked man. The dog ran to his master, enabling him to grab hold of the disc. With the help of firefighters, Officer Bennetts managed to pull the man to safety.
