During his visit to Busan, South Korean opposition leader Lee Jae-myung was attacked. A man armed with a knife stabbed him in the neck. The incident took place on the site of a new airport. Lee, who was conscious, was quickly assisted to stop the bleeding. The culprit, disguised with a paper crown, was arrested on the spot. A witness reported that the assailant had presented himself as a fan looking for an autograph before going on the attack.
