At a North American Grappling Association (NAGA) tournament in Georgia on October 21, controversy erupted over a male-born transgender competitor, Corissa Griffith, who won four gold medals fighting against female-born athletes. As a result, several female athletes expressed their displeasure. One of them, Taelor Moore from California, fought James McPike, now known as Alice, on September 9. Despite a significant weight and muscle discrepancy, Moore eventually won the fight.
