14 year old boy runs into police to escape and ends up running into a portcullis

A 14-year-old is in custody after leading police on a chase in a stolen white Range Rover on Saturday night. The chase began after officers were dispatched for a welfare check on a 24-year-old woman who was being held against her will by a male. The Range Rover rammed a patrol car before fleeing, leading police to deploy spike strips, which successfully deflated the tires on the vehicle. The chase ended with the vehicle coming to a stop on Gum Street and the juvenile driver being booked on multiple charges. The woman was safely secured.
